University Hospital Southampton is seeking a highly organised and proactive EPRR Business Administration Officer to support the Trust’s Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) function. This role plays a central part in ensuring the Trust can prepare for, respond to and recover from incidents that may impact patient care, staff safety and service delivery.
Working within the EPRR team, the post holder will provide business management and governance support across a wide range of resilience activities. This includes supporting the Trust’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), coordinating training and induction for Trust on-call commanders, maintaining policies and standard operating procedures, and overseeing performance reporting aligned to NHS England EPRR Core Standards.
The role has a significant impact on organisational preparedness. By supporting governance, assurance reporting, audits, exercises and lessons-learned programmes, the post holder helps ensure that the Trust maintains robust arrangements for major incident response, business continuity and statutory compliance under the Civil Contingencies Act and NHS EPRR framework.
The post holder reports to the Head of EPRR / Associate Director of Operations and works closely with colleagues across clinical divisions, estates, digital services and corporate teams. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple programmes of work within a complex and fast-moving healthcare environment.
