The opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated clinician with an interest in education to join the Medical Education Team as Foundation Fellowship Programme Director looking after locally employed doctors working as F3 equivalent. This role attracts 1PA. 

This is a rewarding leadership role nurturing locally employed doctors, many of whom may be new to the NHS. The Foundation Fellowship was designed to allow doctors to obtain equivalent training opportunities as doctors within deanery training posts. It is particularly suited to doctors who have trained overseas and are looking for an environment that is supportive and can help orientate them into working within the NHS.

Within this role, the individual with work alongside Foundation Fellowship programme Director for F1/F2 overseeing recruitment, training, supervision and appraisal for the fellowship programme. The individual should have strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities include
-Lead delivery of the Foundation Fellowship Programme 
-Monitor trainee progress, performance and wellbeing 
-Support Educational Supervisors and ensure high-quality placements 
-Lead recruitment, induction and appraisal processes
-Work closely with the Director of Medical Education and wider education team 
-Support doctors in difficulty and promote inclusive training opportunities
