We are seeking a versatile, enthusiastic individual to provide senior medical input and leadership to our well established, dynamic CAMHS Liaison team at Southampton Children’s Hospital. You will play a highly valued role in the care of children and young people with a range of psychiatric needs.

The CAMHS Liaison team works in close collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health staff according to a biopsychosocial model to address the mental health needs of service users under 18 within the Trust. It operates from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and is predominantly inpatient based, with some scope for outpatient work. The core team includes 2 Clinical Nurse Specialists, an OT, Psychiatry trainees, and input/cover from the Bursledon House Consultant Child Psychiatrist. There may occasionally be a request for consultation to the separate matron led team based in the Emergency Department who see under 18s presenting with self-harm and other mental health crises.
