We are looking for a skilled, committed and enthusiastic colleague to join our gynae-oncology centre. Our gynaecology oncology services have seen significant positive developments in recent years, thanks in part to constant trust- and executive-level support for our department.
We have recently moved into a purpose-built, modern, integrated operating theatre at University Hospital Southampton and continue to increase our operating capacity. Our HIPEC service for interval ovarian cytoreductive surgery is well-established and a robotic programme is in the pipeline. A well-rounded surgeon trained in cytoreductive surgery and robotics would be welcomed.
This is a replacement post for a full-time consultant in gynaecological oncology surgery who is retiring. Planned retirement is in April 2026 and, therefore, this advertised post is a substantive replacement post that will start as soon as possible from April 2026.
