This post provides approximately 50% time for clinical trial based research along with 50% time to undertake clinical duties and projects within the department of hepatology at University Hospital Southampton NHSFT.
The main purpose is to provide clinical support for NIHR trials running and being set up in Southampton and to undertake hepatology clinics and other clinical duties as required by the department.
The start date will be 2nd September 2026.
Key Qualities – You must possess GMC registration, MRCP, and relevant experience within the NHS. Additionally, a minimum of one year’s experience working with a gastroenterology or hepatology team is required.

This position will support the recruitment of patients for both commercial and non-commercial trials and assist in reviewing patients within the outpatient setting, thereby helping to minimize wait times for new and follow-up appointments.
