We are looking for an experienced senior radiographer with significant leadership experience and Interventional Radiology knowledge to provide leadership in IR and across the main department, including theatres, ED, RSH.  You will be HCPC registered with an extensive portfolio with evidence of both clinical and managerial experience.

You will require strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels within and external to the service, providing advice and guidance where required. You should have strong teaching skills as well as an ability to identify and lead service improvement.

ABOUT THE TEAM

At UHS we have a large friendly team of radiographers with a wide range of experience working across the following departments:
Main X-ray
This area provides general, fluoroscopy and mobile radiography for adult in-patients and out-patients. There are 5 DR X-ray rooms, 2 state of the art digital fluoroscopy rooms, and a fleet of DR mobiles. There is also a Xograph DR Dental Imaging room.

Emergency X-ray.
This area provides adult and paediatric trauma radiography for the Emergency Department and Major Trauma Centre plus emergency and general theatre imaging.
There are 3 DR x-ray rooms, DR mobiles and a fleet of up to date image intensifiers undertaking a wide variety of complex imaging procedures. 

Interventional Radiology 
Our interventional Unit carries out a wide range of complex vascular, non-vascular and oncology procedures in 2 Siemens interventional labs in additional to a Hybrid Lab. The unit is the cancer centre and major vascular hub within the region.

Royal South Hants X-ray
This satellite unit, near the city centre, provides imaging for adult outpatient clinics and GP referrals and has 4 DR x-ray rooms.
